The Syrian Central Military Media has released a video showing plumes of black of smoke that it says were caused by opposition fighters blowing up their positions in the Damascus's Khan al-Shih suburb, before evacuating from them.

An agreement was reached earlier this week between government forces and opposition factions to evacuate fighters from the Tal and Khan al-Shih suburbs.

Hundreds of fighters from both suburbs west of Damascus have been leaving in batches to the northwestern province of Idlib, a rebel stronghold. The two areas have been subjected to government attacks for weeks.

The video shows buses leaving that are claimed to be carrying fighters and their families, apparently heading to Idlib.
